Supligo moves no money. Customers pay you — by cheque, transfer, card or cash, as they always have — and Supligo keeps the account: what each one owes from their order summaries, and what they have paid.
Terms. Each customer has their own payment terms. A new customer starts on the ones in Settings, How customers pay you, Payment terms for new customers — Net 30 until you change it; a business that opens its own account on your storefront starts on Cash on delivery. The terms are Cash on delivery, Due on receipt, Net 7, 14, 15, 30, 45 or 60, or monthly on a day of the month. Set them on the customer: Edit (or Edit terms), then Save terms. On the phone: the customer, Terms, Pays. A Credit limit tells you when a customer goes over it; nothing is refused.
When it is due. Net 30 is due 30 days after delivery; cash on delivery and due on receipt, on the day; monthly, on the next such day. A balance still open after its due day is overdue.
Money owed. Open Money owed (on the phone, in Menu). It shows what is Owed to you, what is Overdue and what was Received today, and each customer by how late: Not yet due, 1–30 days late, 31–60 days, 61–90 days and Over 90 days. Export payments gives a spreadsheet.
Record a payment.
1. Open the customer, then Account, Open account.
2. Press Record a payment.
3. Choose All owed or Overdue, or type the amount, and how they paid: Cash, Cheque, E-transfer (ACH in the United States, Bank transfer in the United Kingdom), Card or Other, with the cheque number or reference.
4. Received is today if you leave it empty. The button says what you are recording — for example Record $412.00 · Cheque. Press it.
A payment pays the oldest order first. It can never be more than they owe, or dated in the future. On the phone: the customer's account, then Record a payment; it is dated today.
A payment entered wrong, or a cheque that bounced? Press Take back beside it (on the phone, tap the payment), choose why and press Take it back. A payment is never deleted: it stays on the account, struck through, with the reason.
At the door, the driver sees what to collect — Collect and the amount for cash on delivery, or the customer's terms and due day for an account — and records what they are handed.
Statements. On the customer's account, Statement shows every open order with its due day, ready to print; Email statement opens your own email to the customer's people. On the phone, Send statement shares it.
Reminders. In Settings, How customers pay you, Overdue reminders: Send reminders emails the customer 1, 7, 14 and 30 days after the due date, from you, with the order summary, between 9:00 and 17:00 your time, and stops once it is paid. It is off until you turn it on. To leave one customer out, untick Remind them of an overdue payment on the customer. Reminders go to the people with Payment emails ticked.
